Dual Mono Power Amplifier

The SB Amp was designed as the perfect match for the SB+ Audiophile streaming music Player, but is suitable for use in any high quality audio system.

A three-box system comprising the SB+ Player/PSU and SB Amp (with a pair of speakers of your choice) will give you a simple, but very high quality, music system - with all the convenience of a centrally stored music library and absolutely no compromise to audio quality.

The SB Amp is a dual mono design, with completely independent power supplies for each of the two audio channels, in a single box. Power output is around 70W per channel into a 4 Ohm load, but in reality, this amplifier punches well above it's weight.

The design is based on the National Semiconductor LM3886 integrated circuit which has both short circuit and thermal overload protection built-in - so it's virtually built-proof too!

The SB Amp is configured with a +23dB gain as standard - ideal for use with an SB+ (or similar device) which has a built-in volume control. The SB Amp can easily be supplied with other gains on request.
